An alien ambassador whose undetectable beacon will summon an empire to Earth for as long as he draws breath, and who cannot be killed by any means Cercy's team devises.

## Who they are

Rogers arrives on Earth broadcasting a signal no human method can jam, calmly informing Cercy that stopping the transmission is impossible because it ends only with his life. When Cercy empties six rounds into him, he simply vanishes and returns, explaining that ambassadors enjoy a certain diplomatic immunity and that humans could not even comprehend the nature of his defense. His serene invulnerability transforms a straightforward assassination assignment into an escalating intellectual siege.
