A shape-shifting Grom scout with Hunter tendencies who nearly blows a reconnaissance mission by chasing a four-legged creature he has no teeth to bite.

## Who they are

Ger accompanies Pid and Ilg on a dawn infiltration of a human atomic installation, his Displacer pulsing as he takes the coloration of plants and logs. But when a small animal darts past, he instantly grows four legs and a streamlined body and gives chase, forgetting teeth and discipline alike. Pid must scold him back into shape, mindful of the Chief's warning that Ger's Exotic-Shape lure needs watching — a flaw that could expose the whole mission.
