## Who they are

Fannia commands the cramped, fuel-starved ship crawling toward Thetis, trading insults with his navigator Donnaught while plotting a detour to a Galactic Survey cache on Cascella. He is practical to the point of paranoia, ordering full space armor and weapons despite the planet's friendly classification, because 'unique social structure' in a survey report usually means trouble. His gleeful discovery of the fuel cache and his insistence on no fraternizing set the expedition's wary, transactional tone.
