Ancient Evil and Legacy

Many stories involve ancient, forgotten civilizations (Atlantis, pre-human empires) whose evil legacies—mummies, curses, or sorcerers—return to threaten the present, as with Kathulos rising from the sea and the serpent priests of Valusia.
