## Who they are

Freddie Threepwood is the Hon. Frederick, a young aristocrat whose marriage to Donaldson's Dog-Biscuits heiress was supposed to keep him profitably abroad. Instead he returns to England and summons his father to the Senior Conservative Club with a telegram ominously promising trouble, reviving twenty years of paternal rescue efforts. His arrival — and the beard his father has grown in his absence — immediately disrupts Lord Emsworth's peace and signals fresh complications for the family.
