## Snapshot

A baronet's son who rows for his life through a night storm, regretting the thoughtlessness that dragged other men into his peril.

## Who they are

Recognized by villagers as the son of a baronet whose mansion stands three miles off, he is a gentleman whose romantic impulses have consequences for those around him. When the breeze fails and the sea rises, he takes an oar and pulls with desperate energy, cheering the sailors even as he curses himself for causing them to share his danger. His willingness to labor beside hired men, and his guilt at endangering their families, reveal a conscience at odds with his rank.
