## Snapshot

An Albanian klepht from Korvo who once read Greek and loved a Sciote wife, and whose ravaged home and stolen daughter turned a tamed barbarian into a man women and children flee.

## Who they are

Dmitri was renowned among the savage mountains between Yannina and Terpellenè for dauntless courage, and unusual among his countrymen for a gentler disposition and a taste for books. When the Mainotes ravaged his island home, killed Helena, and stole his infant daughter, he spent three years hunting the child through a thousand dangers, and the scar across his eyebrow and cheek records the cost. He returned to Korvo ferocious and hardhearted, glorying in the dread his glance inspires, and the reputation of the Evil Eye now precedes him into every village.
