Wilmer Lafon is a disgraced architect in Honor Block A, his brilliant drawings pinned to prison walls that will never become buildings.

## Who they are

Lafon once designed more than a dozen skyscrapers, none of which fell down, and now the guards parade inspection delegations past his cell to admire the sketches of the career he lost. His conviction cost him his Architectural Society membership and his Professional standing, and the Jug's rehabilitation courses are a shaman's hatchet, not a cure. He matters because his fury and his need to escape make him a man willing to reach toward the Greensleeves, and toward whatever dangerous bargain that implies.
