How does Revolving Lights develop the theme of The Search for Meaning?

Revolving Lights by Dorothy M. Richardson develops The Search for Meaning across the chapters the companion marks for this theme.

Throughout the book, Miriam grapples with the question of what she 'ought to be doing' and the purpose of her life. She is drawn to ideas, people, and experiences that might offer a 'shape of truth,' yet she remains uncertain, caught between the desire for understanding and the pain of failing to find it.

Miriam's reflections on the 'inside pattern of life,' temperament, and the 'waiting self' reveal a deep search for personal meaning and authenticity.
