**Role:** supporting

**Also known as:** Mr. Wirgo, Wirgo

**First appearance:** 0007-riga-to-run

## Snapshot

The Estonian Admiralty's helpful intermediary, he forwards newly issued charts of the island cruising ground to skippers who might otherwise sail blind.

## Who they are

Mr. Edward Wirgo appears in the author's note as the channel through which the Estonian Admiralty sends updated charts covering the whole delightful island cruising ground. His quiet role is to close the gap between wartime changes and the outdated charts the narrator complained of, making these waters safer for other little ships. Though he never steps aboard, his contribution frames the voyage as part of a wider community of sailors sharing knowledge.
