## Who they are

Radius is the Robot whose rebellion gives the play its menace, the one whose dissatisfaction spreads through the ranks until the factory is ringed by identical faces. In the besieged house he is felt more than seen: the Robots stand beyond the railing in monstrous silence, waiting, and Gall admits their sameness makes the sight a nightmare. Radius embodies the question the humans keep dodging—what happens when the made thing stops consenting to be used.
