## Who they are

When the dying man in the dark recounts how Bran's men cut away his hands and feet and left him for the birds, Dymer sits hunched and stone-faced, hearing his own name cursed. Bran never appears in the flesh, yet his cruelty and the shame it plants drive Dymer deeper into the woods, fleeing the horror of those lips that scream his name.
