A quiet Disan who moves through occupied streets without looking back, saving one life from a massacre he could not prevent and grieving the rest.

## Who they are

Ulv is a native of Dis who can grasp facts the magter cannot, which makes him both invaluable and suspect among his own people. When the magter raid the Foundation, he goes along carrying explosives because he cannot stop them, and manages to pull only one survivor — Lea — from the wreckage, drugging her and wrapping her in cloth to hide her. His guilty relief and quiet competence give Brion the one ally on Dis who understands both sides of a war he is trying to avert.
