## Who they are

Kraken is the monstrous hero of Penguinia's early age, a dragon who devours maidens and reaps the benefits of his wife's infidelities without ever suspecting them. His flaw is the blindness of the true hero: he trusts his strength and his household, never guessing that Orberosia's lovers and the Church's proclamation are closing around him. He matters because his fate shows how Penguinia converts a ravaging beast into a founding myth.
