**Role:** supporting

**Also known as:** Georgiana, little Georgiana, Georgiana Podsnap

**First appearance:** 0011-xi-podsnappery

## Snapshot

Mr. Podsnap's shy, sheltered daughter, crushed by Podsnappery and newly befriended by the Lammles, who mean to use her.

## Who they are

Georgiana is an undersized, dejected damsel whose early views of life came from her father's boots and the dim drawing-rooms, and who seems to take frosty peeps out of childhood into womanhood before shrinking back. She is delighted and bewildered by the Lammles' flattery and by the prospect of being admired by young Fledgeby. Her innocence is the raw material of a social scheme, and her loneliness makes her both pitiable and vulnerable.
