**First appearance:** 0001-our-baseball-club-and-how-it-won-the-championship

## Snapshot

Known as Jamie Kennedy, a Catalpa batsman whose line drive to Sam Morrison and subsequent dash around the bases keeps rival nines honest.

## Who they are

Jamie Kennedy steps to the plate for the Calumets and reaches first when Morrison fumbles his line drive, then steals second on a passed ball and scores on Charlie Webb's base hit. His small, scrappy sequence of plays typifies the kind of opportunistic baserunning that decides close matches in this league. Against the Catalpas' championship ambitions, Kennedy represents the persistent opposition that must be answered inning after inning.
