## Snapshot

The Catalpas' second baseman, quick enough to cut down overrunning runners and fiery enough that his temper simmers beneath every hard-fought inning.

## Who they are

Hart Stirling plays second base for the Catalpas, turning a neat putout on Wheeler when the Jonesviller overruns the bag, and later scoring on Will Sprague's strong hit to right field. His name sits high on Alice's list of preferred players, marking him as one of the club's trusted regulars in the championship push. In a nine whose fortunes swing inning by inning, Stirling's sharp fielding and combustible energy make him a barometer of the team's intensity.
