**Role:** supporting

**Also known as:** Fleur-de-Lys, fair Godmother Fleur-de-Lys, Gondelaurier

**First appearance:** 0037-i-the-danger-of-confiding-one-s-secret-to-a-goat

## Snapshot

A noble heiress betrothed to Captain Phoebus, Fleur-de-Lys watches her handsome fiancé grow cold while a dancing girl in the square steals his wandering gaze.

## Who they are

Fleur-de-Lys moves in the gilded rooms of the Gondelaurier household, where tapestries and old titles are discussed while her betrothed twirls his moustache and thinks of taverns. Her beauty and rank cannot compete with Phoebus's vulgar appetites, and the growing coolness between them leaves her thoughtful and uneasy on her own balcony. Her jealousy, once fixed on the gypsy dancer below, becomes one of the quiet engines that turns noble drawing-room boredom into something far more dangerous.
