## Snapshot

A Mulliner whose mild exterior conceals a talent for landing in the sort of scrapes that make excellent after-dinner anecdotes.

## Who they are

William Mulliner belongs to the sprawling clan whose misadventures Mr. Mulliner recounts with relish, and he carries the family's knack for dignified disaster. Caught between social obligation and personal preference, he embodies the Wodehouse hero who would rather flee than face an elderly nurse's tea. His struggles anchor the early arc, showing how Mulliner pride collides with absurd domestic tyranny.
