## Snapshot

A Yorkshire landowner and steady gun among Quatermain's shooting party, whose wealth and calm anchor the hunters between adventures.

## Who they are

Sir Henry moves easily between Brayley Hall and the Grange, a sportsman whose estate and easy competence mark him as one of Quatermain's trusted circle. He is the kind of man who leaves a shoot early to meet his agent about a farm shed, then returns for dinner with Captain Good, dependable in a way that makes him useful when plans turn serious. His presence grounds the opening chapters in English normality before the story plunges into Maiwa's vengeance.
