**Role:** supporting

**Also known as:** the outrageous Leou

**First appearance:** 0007-i-the-malice-of-the-demon-leou

## Snapshot

An outrageous demon whose malice drives the misfortunes at the heart of one of Kai Lung's darker tales.

## Who they are

Leou embodies the supernatural spite that Kai Lung's stories so often summon, a force of gratuitous cruelty against ordinary folk. The demon's outrages give the tale its shape, pitting mortal cleverness and patience against an adversary who delights in ruin. Within the collection, Leou shows how Kai Lung's art can turn even a demon's malice into a lesson about endurance and retribution.
