# How does Invaders from the Infinite develop the theme of The Value of Knowledge and Science?

> Invaders from the Infinite by John W. Campbell

## Answer

Invaders from the Infinite by John W. Campbell develops The Value of Knowledge and Science across the chapters the companion marks for this theme.

Scientific discovery is portrayed as the key to survival and progress, with characters relying on physics, mental sciences, and ancient records to develop defenses, while ignorance or suppression of knowledge leads to vulnerability.

The Ortolians use mental science and thought amplification to gather intelligence, while Earth's scientific advancements are key to defense.

Arcot and Morey's detailed explanations of the ship's principles underscore the importance of scientific understanding in overcoming challenges.

Earth's advanced scientific knowledge and power generation capabilities are crucial to overcoming the Talsonians' technological limitations.
