A tenderhearted prince who rides toward a rigged game of chaupur against a king who collects heads, stopping to rescue a cricket from a burning forest along the way.

## Who they are

Rasalu is a legendary prince, brave and strong, who accepts King Sarkap's challenge to play chaupur even after a headless corpse warns him that Sarkap beheads his opponents. He takes the corpse's advice and carves dice from graveyard bones to break the king's enchanted luck, and on the road he saves a cricket from a fire, earning a feeler that summons aid when needed. His kindness and his courage are inseparable, and the story tests both against Sarkap's seventy daughters and their impossible tasks.
