First appearance: Punchkin
As a major figure in Indian Fairy Tales, Balna is not background color—the story leans on what they do once the chapter opens.
The youngest and cleverest princess, later imprisoned by Punchkin.
Balna is the youngest of seven sisters whose father, Raja Sarkap, leaves them sleeping in the jungle rather than kill them to satisfy his wife's demand for their blood. She marries the youngest of seven princely brothers and bears the only heir of that generation, making her son the family's hope. When her husband and his six brothers vanish one by one on a hunt, Balna's world narrows to grief and waiting — the hinge on which the tale's rescue adventure turns.
