A prince of Devon who rides after a dwarf's insult to the Queen, and finds in a ruined castle the woman he will both wed and wrongly suspect.

## Who they are

Geraint enters the Idylls as a knight of instinct and quick blood: when a dwarf whips his cheek before Guinevere, he restrains his sword only to vow he will track the vermin to their earths. That pursuit leads him to Enid, the daughter of a decayed lord, whom he marries and brings to Camelot. His flaw is a temper that curdles into suspicion, and his early arc sets him on a road of testing where love and jealousy ride in the same saddle.
