What happens

A queen curses her young daughter into a raven, who flies into a dark forest. A man encounters the raven and learns he can free her by resisting food and drink from an old woman for three days. He fails each day, falling asleep, and the raven leaves him a ring, food, and a letter directing him to the golden castle of Stromberg. After a long journey, he meets a giant who helps him find the castle. He uses a magic ring to gain entry and ultimately frees the princess, leading to their marriage.
