## Who they are

Dhairya-Sila serves Surya Pratap as the one adviser the Raja can truly trust, until a false accusation sends him to a tower to die. Rescued by his clever wife Buddhi-Mati and a small beetle, he tells his master an eagle carried him to safety, and the lie lodges in him even as he becomes the kingdom's real ruler. His story turns on the cost of a good man's compromise and the quiet grief that prosperity cannot cure.
