## Snapshot

A married woman whose presence on the links unsettles the men and whose choices ripple through the club's romantic entanglements.

## Who they are

Mrs. Jane Jukes Jopp occupies an ambiguous place in the golfing world, where wives are expected to wait in cars rather than stride the fairways. Her marriage and her movements through the club's social orbit create friction that the Oldest Member observes with relish. She matters to the early arc because she embodies the collision between domestic expectation and the freedom of the course.
