# How does Don Juan develop the theme of Nature of Heroism?

> Don Juan by Lord Byron

## Answer

Don Juan by Lord Byron develops Nature of Heroism across the chapters the companion marks for this theme.

Byron subverts traditional epic heroism, presenting Juan as a passive, often accidental figure who stumbles through adventures, contrasting with classical heroes and mocking the very concept of heroic glory.

Juan's accidental bravery and Johnson's strategic retreat challenge traditional notions of heroism.
