## Who they are

Father Cassidy is the trusted keeper of Cormac McCarthy's fifty-three pounds and the quiet center of village life, the man people turn to when grief and the supernatural collide. He never appears in the thick of a fairy chase, yet his name surfaces whenever money, oaths, or souls are at stake. His steady presence reminds the reader that the Good People's mischief plays out inside a community bound by faith, debt, and neighborly obligation.
