A cunning sorceress in a sea-cave who knows what a young man will pay to be rid of his soul, and names her price without flinching.

## Who they are

She lives at the head of the bay, red hair loose and hemlock in hand, and senses the Fisherman's approach by the itching of her palm before he arrives. She offers him exactly what he wants, but only at a cost she is careful to spell out, and she enjoys the bargaining. Her cold competence makes her the story's first real test of what the Fisherman is willing to give up for love.
