**First appearance:** 0001-castle-rackrent

## Snapshot

A stage-struck heiress who falls for Sir Condy at first sight, defies her family to marry him, and becomes the prize in a ruinous romantic gamble.

## Who they are

Miss Isabella is the youngest daughter of old Mr. Moneygawl of Mount Juliet's Town, a wealthy family whose approval Sir Condy can ill afford to lose. She falls head over ears for him the first time her brother brings him to dinner, and her relations lock her in her chamber rather than permit the match — a defiance that only stiffens Sir Condy's resolve. Her infatuation collides with his lingering attachment to Judy McQuirk, setting up the romantic contest that shapes the estate's fortunes.
