> Anne of Avonlea by L. M. Montgomery

## Answer

Anne of Avonlea by L. M. Montgomery develops Love and Friendship across the chapters the companion marks for this theme.

The narrative examines various forms of love and friendship, including Anne's enduring bond with Diana, her mentorship of Paul Irving, the rekindled romance between Miss Lavendar and Stephen Irving, and her evolving relationship with Gilbert Blythe.

Despite his naughtiness, Davy's affectionate hugs and Anne's patient care demonstrate the bonds forming within the new family.

Annetta Bell's copied love letter and her genuine affection for Anne highlight the theme of love, albeit in a childlike and misguided form.

The picnic strengthens the bond among Anne, Diana, Priscilla, and Jane, and the story of Hester Gray illustrates a romantic love story.
