Amaryllis at the Fair · Character

Iden Pacha

A mocking nickname for Mr. Iden, suggesting autocratic behavior.

minor

Also known as This miserable old Iden Pacha, the Pacha, Iden, old Iden

First appearance: xix

Iden Pacha's tie to Amaryllis Iden is one of the pressures that moves Amaryllis at the Fair—worth meeting in the text, not only on a cast list.

Nicknamed by townsfolk; his pompous distribution of money and his treatment of Amaryllis's parents fuel her resentment.
