# How does A Gentleman of Leisure develop the theme of Adventure and Risk?

> A Gentleman of Leisure by P. G. Wodehouse

## Answer

A Gentleman of Leisure by P. G. Wodehouse develops Adventure and Risk across the chapters the companion marks for this theme.

The plot is driven by daring bets, burglaries, and escapes, with characters like Jimmy and Lord Dreever taking reckless chances for love, money, or thrill, reflecting a theme of living life on the edge.

The bet itself and the burglary are driven by a desire for excitement and risk-taking.

Jimmy's impulsive bet to burgle a house that very night embodies a spirit of adventure and willingness to take risks.

Jimmy's thrill-seeking nature and his view of burglary as an 'unexpected treat' highlight the theme of adventure and the allure of risk-taking.
